Softball Season Comes to an End! SteadyCare Finishes Season with a 5-12-1 Record

Wakefield, MA: The 2nd season was filled with much excitement, losing 4 games in the final inning and surprising many of their opponents with much improved play from the previous season.

Marrissa Jenkins continued to be the team’s number one pitcher, however newcomer Megan Kelly did a tremendous job stepping in when Marrissa was not available.

Yvonne Zani Runs the 113th Boston Marathon

Boston, MA: Yvonne Zani, an account executive for SteadyCare completed this year’s Boston Marathon with a time of 5:08:38. Yvonne raised over $2,000 to support the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center which provides support for those with disabilities and their families including daycare, after school care, adult day programs, overnight respite care, supervised residential placements and community employment support. We are very proud of Yvonne and her efforts!

SteadyCare Sponsors Local Softball Team

Wakefield, MA: This was an exciting summer for some of our SteadyCare staff and local residents of Wakefield, MA. SteadyCare sponsored a women’s softball team in the Wakefield Women’s Softball League. Our team was coached by Jeff Ciavarri and managed by Laurel Ciavarri and SteadyCare’s own Yvonne Zani. The team is in its 4th season and had many returning players and new faces. Though SteadyCare finished the season at 2-16, this does not reflect the overall success of the team. Team SteadyCare ended the season by winning their final game in nearly flawless fashion. Expect to see SteadyCare back on the field next year, ready to go and with a winning record! Go Blue!

SteadyCare Donates to Local Food Pantry

Peabody, MA: SteadyCare, who is a proud member of multiple human service provider organizations, is giving back to the community through donations to the local community. Members of the SteadyCare staff are actively contributing to a local food pantry, Haven from Hunger. Canned goods are currently being collected at the SteadyCare Headquarters in Peabody, MA. In order to facilitate further participation in donating to the local food pantry, a ‘Dollars for Denim’ day has been scheduled, SteadyCare staff members donate their dollars to enjoy not only the comfort of their denim jeans, but also the comfort of knowing they’re helping those in need.

SteadyCare Employees Help Renovate Local School

Four employees from SteadyCare spent a work day volunteering at St. Coletta & Cardinal Cushing Schools of Massachusetts as part of the special needs school’s Give A Day program. The team worked from 10:00 to 3:00 washing and painting woodwork as part of a larger renovation project which affords the school additional space for training, yoga and The Rhythmic Arts Program. SteadyCare donates $5,000 to Bridgewell for Special Olympics Uniforms

Peabody, MA: June 1, 2016, SteadyCare donated $5,000 to Bridgewell so that the agency can purchase uniforms and track suits for its Special Olympics team.
